Red Bar & Bistro
Red Bar, in George and Crown Yard, has recently been presented with a design award from Wakefield Civic Society. The judges liked the way that the old warehouse had been brought back into use, while retaining some of the character and features of the original building.

The Black Swan
This Grade II listed medieval jettied building was originally the Black Swan. Shops now occupy the Silver Street frontage, but the pub is still operating in the rear of the building. Note the clever play on words on the florists shop name.
