Apartment block
This Victorian brick and stone building first opened in 1866 as the Grove Road Methodist church, and originally had a small spire surmounting the church's tower. The church has now been converted into an apartment block, and the spire, which was found to be defective, has been replaced with a smaller clock tower.

Derelict public house, Wakefield
The Kirkgate Station area of Wakefield is one that the city should be thoroughly ashamed of. The station itself is in dilapidated state, and the former "Wakefield Arms" public house is a disgraceful eye-sore. It is hard to believe that this is a Grade II listed building with a unique feature, as described here http://www.heritagegateway.org.uk/Gateway/Results_Single.aspx?uid=1245773&resourceID=5. Any visitor arriving at this station to visit the splendid new Hepworth Gallery nearby will no doubt be shocked and leave with a very negative impression of the city.
