Faded grandeur
I think this may be the stable block of the now derelict Byram Hall. See Image for more details.

Faded grandeur
The remains of Byram Hall, once a magnificent country residence and estate of over 3000 acres, which at times included a deer park, pleasure gardens, walled kitchen garden, orangery, fishponds, grand tree-lined avenues, woodland and arable land. The estate was acquired by the Ramsden family in 1618, and remained in their possession for 300 years. It was sold off piecemeal in 1923, was requisitioned by the military during WWII, and eventually fell into disrepair. Just a small portion of what must have been a very grand mansion remains today.

Faded grandeur
Another view down the Fishpond, Byram Hall, this time from one of the landing stages along the bank. In the 19th Century there would have been pleasure craft on this stretch of the Fishpond, and balustraded landing stages. Sadly, all has fallen into decay. See Image for more on Byram Hall.
