Former cinema, on Station Road, which has since served as a restaurant and dance school, more recently a nightclub under several guises – currently the Mansion. Charlotte Hotel, formerly the North-Eastern Hotel, on the left.

Club & Entertainment Centre - Station Road
This was opened in October 1899 as a Concert Hall with seats for 1,000 persons. It was converted to the Queen's Theatre of Varieties in January 1907

Mansion nightclub
Formerly Ikon - and Legends, and Jimmy's: depends how old you are what you remember it as! - before that a dance school and Castleford's first Chinese restaurant. Built in the 1920s as the Picture House cinema. Part of the police station can be seen behind the flag to the right.

Trevelyan House - Carlton Street
Trevelyan House was built in 1890 at a cost of £2,500, for the Castleford Cocoa and Coffee Company Limited. It is of red brick with terra-cotta facings and contains a billiard room, and a dining room capable of seating 120 persons [Ref Kelly's Directory 1901] By the 1922 Directory Trevelyan House was used as a public cafe by the Castleford and Disctict Y.M.C.A.
