Elstree Station, with an Up local train
View northward, towards Bedford and the North; ex-Midland London St Pancras - Bedford - Leicester etc. main line. The Up local train, probably from Bedford, is headed by a quite new BR Standard 4MT 2-6-4T No. 80060. A Down local is at the Down Slow platform. After electrification of the local services, the station was called 'Elstree & Borehamwood' between 6/5/74 and 5/5/88.
