Triple-headed charter train approaches Watford Junction
Diesel locomotive Class 66/0 number 66232 heads Class 37/5 number 37510 and Class 37/0 number 37229 'Jonty Jarvis 8-12-1998 to 18-3-2005' on the late running Buffer Puffer 9.0 charter to Fenchurch Street and beyond. 66232 was used as rescue locomotive after 37510 lost part of its windscreen.

Office block above Watford Junction station
In 1984 the original Victorian station buildings were demolished and the station rebuilt with a large office block above it, occupied by the lorry and bus manufacturing company Iveco; the block was called "Iveco House" - see Image (photographed by Stephen McKay).

Junction of branch to St Albans, terminus of local electric services from London Euston, also formerly of London Underground Bakerloo Line; formerly junction of branches from Rickmansworth and Croxley Green.

Giant 'watford' letters outside Watford Junction Station
They were installed around 2020 as part of forecourt improvements at the station intended to make it a "a safe, pedestrian-friendly environment", according to the site of London Northwestern Railway, which has the franchise to run local trains on this line https://www.londonnorthwesternrailway.co.uk/about-us/news-desk/watford-junction-forecourt-improvements-under-way .
