48-52 Long Acre
Typically dignified late Georgian houses, built in the early C19th though altered slightly for commercial use later in the C19th, and for retail use in the C20th. Grade II listed.
The shops here were Ben Sherman (men's clothes), Scribbler (stationery), TCG (cashmere clothes), and Zara (clothes).

Slender nos. 55-56 on the corner looks Georgian but is not listed. Next door, nos. 57-59, is stripy commercial Victorian.
Occupied at the time by Starbucks (coffee), One to One English (language school) and All Saints (clothes).

Entrance to Covent Garden Underground station, 1991
View SW, on Long Acre towards Leicester Square: LT Piccadilly Line. The distance between Leicester Square and Covent Garden stations is one of the shortest on the Underground system and it's quicker to walk.
