A trio of 1730s houses, of 2-3-3 bays. Later shopfronts. Grade II listed.
Thomas de Quincey lived at no. 36 while writing "Confessions of an English Opium Eater".
Occupied at the time by Double Shot (coffee bar), Sofra (restaurant) and unknown (probably not an opium dealer).

Houses and shops of the 1830s, probably by Samuel Beazley who was busy at the time down the road at the Lyceum. Grade II listed.
The shops at the time included the Charles Dickens Coffee House, Cafe 26, and Siam (all eateries).
