A pair of good four-storey early Georgian houses, built in 1707-08. Brown brick with red brick dressings. Grade II*/II listed. David Garrick lived in no. 27 (left) between 1749 and 1772 which no doubt accounts for its star listing.

Built in 1873 by S.J. Nicholl as works and showroom of Cox & Sons who manufactured church furniture and stained glass. Grade II listed. Not sure what it is now, but it's a fair bet that there are no church furnishers here any more.
