Parish Church of St Nicholas, Sutton
The parish church of St Nicholas at Sutton was built between 1847 and 1849. It is a Grade II listed building (http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1199239 National heritage List for England).

New Street bridge, Lea Green railway station
Seen along the line from the station, in the direction of St. Helens, is another one of the two old sandstone bridges which appear to be of a similar vintage to the one which Stephenson built at Rainhill.

St.Nicholas Church, New Street, Sutton, St.Helens
The access to the church & churchyard from New Street Sutton.
To the right of the picture is the main railway line from Liverpool to Manchester the Rainhill Trials was run there many years ago which the famous Rocket Steam Engine won.
