Warrington Road, Halton View
Warrington Road at its junction with Halton View Road. The popular local pub, The Castle Hotel can be seen at the corner of Edward Street, it is at present closed and to let.

St Ambrose, Halton View
The church of St Ambrose (Church of England) is situated at the junction of Halton View Road with Warrington Road and was consecrated in 1883. It was designed by James Francis Doyle of Liverpool and was originally designed to have a tower and spire which were never completed.

The Eight Towers Pub, Shell Green
The Eight Towers Pub at the junction of Dan's Road with Barrow's Green Lane, Shell Green. It is named after the nearby Fiddler's Ferry Power Station's eight cooling towers.

Looking along Halton View Road, (B5178). St. Ambrose Church is behind the photo view and just off the right edge of the photo is Bargain Booze then the Post Office.

Chemical Plant, Widnes
This is a view taken from SJ 53328 86484 looking east at one of the many chemical plants around Widnes. This particular one belongs to Aroma & Fine Chemical (part of the Octel Corp). In the background can be seen a rather imposing Fiddlers Ferry Power Station which is in the next grid square to the east.
