1GL bench mark and bolt on Church Street railway bridge
A First Geodetic Levelling survey bench mark and bolt on the south east face of the railway bridge in Church Street. It is part of the 1851-1852 survey Warrington to Pembroke Docks (Levelling [from Frodsham] to Delamere Trigonometrical Station, &c.) It looks as though it's had a recent visit from a dog as well. 60009 Union of South Africa departing from Frodsham
Sunday 10th August 2008 saw the former LNER A4 class steam locomotive No 60009 "Union of South Africa" stopping to pick up passengers. It was on a trip from Liverpool (Lime Street) to Holyhead.
