R.A.F. Burtonwood
This picture was taken just inside grid SJ5698 and is looking down one of the disused roads that ran around the old R.A.F. Burtonwood Base. Off in the distance you can see the new Post Office building (in an adjacent square).

R.A.F. Burtonwood
Not a very good picture with the temporary fence in the foreground. What I am trying to show for this grid square is the old storage warehouses that formed part of the massive air base complex. They are all being demolished now and a new "village" is popping up in its place.
