The building on the far side of the field at the end of this quiet cul-de-sac is Greystone Heath, a residential school owned by Liverpool City Council. It has since closed and been demolished.

Old Milestone by the A57, Liverpool Road, Great Sankey
Carved stone post by the A57, in parish of GREAT SANKEY (WARRINGTON District), Liverpool Road; 20m West of junction with Hadleigh Close, on the verge in undergrowth, on South side of road. Prescot stone, erected by the Liverpool, Prescot, Ashton & Warrington turnpike trust in the 19th century.
Inscription reads:-

Carved benchmark on top.
