Drinking fountain (disused)
This is what remains of a drinking fountain situated at Sankey Station and that probably dates from late Victorian times. It is built into the wall of the station building facing the westbound platform

Sankey Station on the Liverpool/Manchester line. Looks like it's undergoing a bit of renovation. At one point the station was being closed but if they are working on it then perhaps its future is assured for now...

St Mary's Chapel, Great Sankey
A chapel has been in existence on this site since about 1640 and was built for Presbyterian worship. This chapel was rebuilt in 1728 and the third chapel was consecrated on 11th June, 1769.

Cottages and church, Great Sankey
A pair of 1920s cottages, set back from the playing field in the middle of the village. Unusually they have different addresses, each having a separate access road.
