Great Sankey Post Office 1976
Once, the staggered crossroads in the middle of Sankey used to boast on its four corners, a pub, a police station, a church and a post office. While the first three retain their original function, the post office has become an estate agents and the crossroads now has traffic lights, pedestrian barriers and a traffic island.

St Mary's Chapel, Great Sankey
A chapel has been in existence on this site since about 1640 and was built for Presbyterian worship. This chapel was rebuilt in 1728 and the third chapel was consecrated on 11th June, 1769.

A pair of 1920s cottages, set back from the playing field in the middle of the village. Unusually they have different addresses, each having a separate access road.
