I suppose that this is a windbreak to shelter the farm to the South. If the photo had a soundtrack, it would not be wind, but the honking of that farm's geese, who are excellent guards.

Over Peover Village Hall
This building may be a remnant of the 1940s when the Peover estate was used both by American GIs and to house prisoners of war.

Peover Cottage
These buildings are not as old as they look. The 1909 map shows "Peover Cottage" a little further to the south and it has clearly been demolished, and a school building roughly on this site. But the present buildings are probably a replacement for the school in a retro half-timbered style.
