Pennyfarthing cycle outside the Courtyard coffee house
The coffee houses occupies the former Pennyfarthing museum; the only cycle remaining is this one outside, which commemorates the museum's founder having ridden the length of Britain (and also across the USA!) on one of the machines. See Image for a wider context.

Penny Farthing Museum
King Street, Knutsford. Contains 40 antique bicycles of various styles including 'Ordinaries' which were the formal name of what we now term 'Penny Farthings' by virtue of the large and small wheels, reminiscent of the old copper coins.
