Luxurious semi-detached, Bowdon
Typical of the many fine houses in Hale & Bowdon which grew up with the expansion of the railway, south from Manchester in the 19th century, and the migration of wealthy business people from the city to the outer suburbs. The area attracted some well known musicians in the past and, more recently, a number of sporting and TV personalities. Property values have escalated dramatically and houses for sale at over £1M are now common in the estate agents of Hale and Altrincham.
