Earlestown Station
A triangular station - this is the platform for trains between Warrington and Liverpool. The buildings date back to the earliest days of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway.

Platforms 1 and 2, Earlestown Station
Earlestown Station lies on the former Liverpool and Manchester Railway, which was opened on 15 September 1830. This is a view of platforms 1 and 2 which serve the Northern Rail services between Manchester Piccadilly and Liverpool. The surviving station buildings were constructed around 1835. The waiting room on the Liverpool-bound platform is the oldest station building in the world still in passenger service, although its function is now limited to providing shelter from the rain under its canopy.
