M6 Motorway at Haydock Services proposed site
The widenened emeregcny lane indicates what was intended to be the northbound entry slip road from Haydock Services. Instead of building on this rather constricted site, what began as a lorry stop at junction 20 has instead been greatly expanded into Poplar 2000 service area (Lymm).
