The Swan Hotel, Staines-upon-Thames
The Swan Hotel is on the southern bank of the Thames in Staines-upon-Thames. In fact as it is this side of the river it is probably technically in Egham Hythe - and the street it is on is called The Hythe. This attractive pub and hotel dates originally from the C18th but has had numerous extensions and additions in the following centuries. It is EH Grade II listed https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1028941 This view of it is from Staines Bridge which carries the A308 over the River Thames on the western side of the town centre.

Thames Towpath behind the Swan Hotel
The River Thames Towpath behind the Swan Hotel at The Hythe. This is going west towards Staines Bridge. This photo was taken in 2012, the year of The Queen's Diamond Jubilee, hence the flags. This is on the route of the London Green Belt Way, and after passing under Staines Bridge, the towpath joins the Thames Path National Trail.
