Barbecue area in Laleham Park, by the River Thames
Laleham Park is by the River Thames, between Chertsey and Staines. It is 70 acres of land which was donated by the Lucan family, who lived in Laleham House/Abbey, which was built 1803-1806. The River Thames is behind the photographer. The road is called Thames Side. The black structures in the park are 3 of the several barbecue stands provided by Spelthorne Borough Council, for free public use. They were built to help control the many barbecues that were being held in the park by members of the public.
