George Wilson and Sons had this hire boat business here, and a boatbuilding yard on the lock island. They sold up a couple of years later.

Thames at Sunbury
Looking upstream towards the weir, the lock cut is over to the left out of sight. The hire boats are those of George Wilson and Sons, who had this business here, and a boatbuilding yard on the lock island. They sold up a couple of years later.

The Flowerpot Hotel, Sunbury-on-Thames
Continental-looking pub on the riverside Thames Street in the exclusive suburb of Sunbury. The sign advertises Brakspear's Beer which is no longer brewed in Henley but now, I believe, under licence elsewhere in Oxfordshire. (Wychwood?).
