The approach to Great Broughton
A view towards the southern edge of the village along the B1257. Broughton isn't pronounced as 'Brawton' or 'Brufton', but at 'Browton'. Confusing for visitors to this corner of North Yorkshire.

Horse with winter coat on
This photograph shows a horse with its coat on in a field near Great Broughton. The picture was taken looking in a south-westerly direction towards Holme Beck. The B1287 road that links Great Broughton with Chop Gate can just be seen on the other side of the gate.
