Field Near Greenhow Moor
Looking towards the conical hill of Roseberry Topping (in NZ5712). In the Great Ayton Enclosure Award of 1658 this was part of a large common pasture called West Moor. This particular bit was part of 59 acres awarded to George Marwood Esq.

A172/B1292 Junction
For many years an accident black spot. A right turn for travellers from Great Ayton heading to Middlesbrough onto the busy A172. The day after this photo was taken, after much petitioning by the Great Ayton Parish Council, work was due to start on an island.
