The White House, West Green
A Georgian building overlooking the green. John Wesley stayed here in the late 18th century whilst on a preaching tour of the area.

The White House
A oblique view, taken to avoid the inevitable parked cars, of this eighteenth century house, once home to Lady Mary Hullock who died in 1854 leaving enough money to create the Lady Hullock's Charity to provide fuel and clothing to the poor of the town.
It is also reputed that the preacher John Wesley stayed in the house during one of his visits in the late eighteenth century.
