North Ormesby Road, Middlesbrough ? 1971
At the time this was still the main A171, later bypassed by the new A66/A172 express-way. The terraced housing has been replaced by modern apartments. The bus is Teesside Municipal Transport (formerly Middlesbrough Corporation) L498, a Guy Arab IV with Northern Counties bodywork, new in 1958. A feature of the Corporation's bus services was the use of route letters rather than numbers. This is one of a series of views featuring buses in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=137652761
