North Ormesby Road, Middlesbrough ? 1971
At the time this was still the main A171, later bypassed by the new A66/A172 express-way. In the background can be seen the first stage of the new roads under construction, carrying Borough Road over the railway line and subsequently the new A172. United Automobile Services was the main interurban and rural operator in the area; bus 2268 is a Bristol LS with ECW bodywork new in 1957. This is one of a series of views featuring buses in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=137652761
