Marton railway station
This photograph shows a view of the single-line railway track that runs between the railway stations at Marton and Nunthorpe. Marton station can be seen in the right-hand side of the image. The picture was taken looking in a south-easterly direction towards Nunthorpe.

Marton railway station, Yorkshire
Opened in 1854 by the Middlesbrough & Guisborough Railway on what is today the line from Middlesbrough to Whitby, this station was called 'Ormesby' until 1982. View south east towards Gypsy Lane and Whitby. The line was double track until 1986, with a southbound track and platform to the far left. No trace remains. A waiting shelter and information screen has been added since Image was taken 10 years earlier.

Marton railway station, Yorkshire, 2009
Opened in 1854 by the Middlesbrough & Guisborough Railway on what is today the line from Middlesbrough to Whitby, this station was called 'Ormesby' until 1982. View north west towards Middlesbrough. The line was double track until 1986, with a southbound track and platform to the far right. No trace remains. A waiting shelter and information screen were added around 5 years after this image was taken. See Image for a 2019 view in the opposite direction.
