The A181 road near Catchgate Farm
This photograph shows a view of the A181 road that runs between the A19(T) interchange (ahead) and Durham City (behind the photographer). The entrance to Catchgate Farm is just visible in the right-hand side of the image. The picture was taken looking in an easterly direction towards Castle Eden Golf Club.

Hartlepool Railway and Dock Company Railway
At Wellfield Junction - now a place where Route 1 and Route 14 of the National Cycle Network diverge. When trains ran, the Castle Eden Railway parted from the Hartlepool and Sunderland here. (The Castle Eden Railway, now a foot/cycle path did not go to Castle Eden, but linked Middlesbrough and Wingate).

Woodland, Wellfield Junction
A foot/cycle path near where the Castle Eden Railway once met the Sunderland and Hartlepool Railway near Wingate. Route 1 of the National Cycle Network has just left the Haswell to Hart Countryside Walkway for Station Town.
