Old carving on the exterior of St Mary Magdalene church
Thought to date from around 1500, this carving on the south side of the church probably represents St George killing the dragon.

Church of St Mary Magdalene
Tucked away behind the main village street, this ancient church comes as something of a surprise as parts of the structure date from pre-Conquest times when Hart was a notable Saxon settlement and an administrative centre which stretched from the Tees to Castle Eden. Plenty of interest inside.
