Road junction at Sapper's Corner
This photograph shows a view of the road junction formed by the intersection of the access road to Greatham (coming in from the right-hand side of the image) and the A689 dual-carriageway (Stockton Road). The picture was taken from near the slip-road onto the west-bound carriageway looking in a north-easterly direction towards Hartlepool.

Path off A689
Opposite the road to Greatham, this path forms part of Sustrans cycle route 14 on the outskirts of Hartlepool.

Junction on A689, Hartlepool
This complex road junction is where Greatham High Street joins the Stockton Road, A689. Traffic signals, with cycle and pedestrian phases allow vulnerable users to cross the busy main road into the cycle path opposite (part of National Cycle Network, route 14).
