Riverside Park Road, Middlesbrough
National Cycle Network route 1 runs alongside Riverside Park Road on the north side. The cooling towers lie on the far side of the River Tees Image and originally served the ICI Chemical Works.

Tyrannosaurus Rex, Teesaurus Park
Teesaurus Park contains at least seven sculptures of prehistoric animals created by apprentices of the old ironworks on the site which was opened as a public park in 1979. A recent move by Middlesbrough Council to sell off the site has now been put on hold.
