Opened in 1852 at the junction where the Leeds Northern line (from Northallerton, straight ahead) met the Stockton and Darlington line (out of view to the right).

Pigeon baskets in store at Eaglescliffe station
Judging by the cleanliness of the surroundings (and the modern appearance of the papers just out of shot on the table to the right), these pigeon baskets are still used to send racing birds around the country.

Oakwood Christian Centre
The former Commodore factory has been converted for use as a Christian Centre. Providing rooms for community groups the Tees Valley Community Church also meet here on Sundays
