Looking south along High Street with the distinctive Town Hall very prominent. High Street is the main shopping centre whose parking area is predominantly cobbled.

Flood Cottage, Yarm
Situated just off the High Street, this 18th century cottage has an interesting sign above the garage door indicating the height of the river flood in March 1811. A similar mark can be seen on the wall of the Town Hall.

Yarm Town Hall, High Street, Yarm
Built in 170, Yarm Town Hall is sited on High Street opposite the very narrow High Church Wynd. Yarm's War Memorial can be seen to the left of the Town Hall, which is a Grade II Listed Building. https://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101329488-town-hall-yarm#.WbFc_zGWw5s

Yarm Town Hall
Yarm's Dutch-style town hall stands in a prominent position in the High Street. It was built by the Lord of the Manor, the 3rd Viscount Fauconberg, after the previous tollbooth had been demolished in 1710. This view shows the clock and weather vane on the top of the building.
