HA[SOFT]RD, MIMA
The "Untitled (2010) Alliance", the bizarre sculpture comprising two aero engines Image standing outside MIMA has now been replaced by a sound installation entitled HA[SOFT]RD by Elpida Hadzi-Vasileva. Moving between the panels activates the sound piece which plays voices and sounds evocative of Teesside's industrial past. The work bears some comparison with the "Shetland Receivers" Image
