Carrs Tillery, Slapewath
A long abandoned brickworks and tillery. These must have been the ovens. There is a bank of eight, the furthest three being behind a wire fence. For further info. see Image

Carrs Tillery, Slapewath
A shortened chimney identifies the site of this former brickworks and tilery. The house just off right is a private residence retains the name Carrs Tilery. I haven't been able to find out much about the place other than a William Powell is listed in Bulmer's Directory of 1890 as the manager. For other info. see Image and Image

Chimney, Carr's Tilery, Margrove Park
This is a very derelict site with the incomplete remains of a sizable single cylinder vertical steam engine. The undergrowth prevents a clear shot of the whole site. It was photographed by Colin Bowden in 1974 when it was practically in the clear.

Carrs Tilery, Margrove Park
This is a very overgrown site with the sorry remains of a long disused vertical steam engine that is falling down. The site is private and I was here with permission of the land owner.

Lineside Building, Old Mineral Railway
Alongside the track of the branch line to South Skelton Ironstone Mine. Seems too substantial for a lineside building. Within 50m of more ruins on the other side of the trackbed (SeeImage) so may have something to do with those.

Ruins, Carrs Tillery
I am assuming these ruins are something to do with the old brickworks known as Carrs Tillery although the modern house by that name lies in the next square at NZ650160.
