Telephone Box Outside the Old Village School
The ornate building is the old Wilton village school, probably built as part of the estate village by the Lowther family who owned nearby Wilton Castle.

Public footpath to Wilton Wood
This photograph shows a view of a section of the fenced public footpath that runs between Wilton Village and Wilton Wood. Wilton Wood can be seen on the horizon. The picture was taken looking in a south-easterly direction towards Guisborough.

Wilton Castle, Teesside
Wilton Castle is an early 19th century mansion house, built on the site of a medieval castle. The Lowther family sold the property in 1945 to Imperial Chemical Industries for use as offices. The park was developed as a golf course for ICI staff. ICI sold it in 1999. The golf club was acquired by its members and the castle was converted into residential apartments.(source Wikipedia)
