Metha Road, St Newlyn East
These terraced houses are on the road leading out of the eastern side of the village. While a terrace like this would be unusual in southern England, in Cornwall, with its 19th century mining-based industries, they are not unusual.

St Newlina - Carved feline head
The head of a cat or other feline rubbed smooth by centuries of worshippers' hands. Many of the pews in St Newlina have carved bench-end panels and some of them are topped with splendid heraldic beasts such as this one and Image] dating from the C15th or early C16th. Most of those benches that did not have mediaeval carving had good-quality Victorian carvings added in the C19th. These Mediaeval/Tudor carved beasts are probably the most interesting features of this church.
