Stippy Stappy Lane
This steep terrace of houses was built when St Agnes had a working harbour at Trevaunance Cove just down the hill from here. They were built to be ships captains houses. In his Poldark novels, Winston Graham took this lane, name and all, and put it in his fictional village of St Anne's.

St Agnes - Altar with hanging lanterns
The hanging sanctuary lanterns seen here above the altar are more usually found in Catholic rather than C of E churches - but this seems to be a very "High Church" example as it has many crucifixes and Stations of the Cross. I think that there is an icon behind the cross on the altar. All rather unusual! See also Image] Image] and Image]

St Agnes - Chancel with Crucifix and attendant saints
Rather unusual in a C of E church is this crucifix with attendant saints (Mary and John, I am reliably informed) on a beam across the nave as it leads into the chancel (the Rood Beam). There are many "High Church" emblems within the church such as Stations of the Cross. See also Image] Image] and Image]
