Location, Location, Location?
Flower-bedecked cottage in Goonhavern in a less than desirable location, opposite a busy junction with two mini-roundabouts. When it was built this would have been a fairly quiet rural village crossroads. From the size of the building it may have been a schoolhouse at one time.

The Roundabout at Goonhavern
Sometimes it seems that the most prominent feature of Goonhavern is the road through it. As an ex-mining settlement it has no definite centre or village feel about it.

Central Cottage Goonhavern
This used to be a shop known as Central Stores and when it was converted to a house, the owner decided to change the name to Central Cottage. The main entrance to the shop was where the little window is below the rendered panel. It was called "Central Stores" because it was at the centre of the village of Goonhavern (thanks to Simon Glanville for this information).
