St Peter's Church in the parish of Mithian
Mithian parish was created in 1847 to serve the growing population around Mithian and Blackwater. The church itself was built between the two villages near Chiverton Cross.

The church of St Peter, Mithian
In a very sorry state with slabs of render falling off the walls and many slipping slates, causing the perimeter of the building to be roped off to safeguard people from the risk of injury. The graveyard is also very overgrown, to the extent that it's difficult to get a good viewpoint of the church.
