New Housing in Stithians
In addition to the mainly 19th century core of the village this modern housing has been added. The extra population probably helps to keep services such as a village shop and primary school which might not otherwise have been viable.

The River Kennall near Foundry, Stithians
This area of Stithians village is known as Foundry, a term which probably implies there was some degree of industrial activity in the past. The water from this river would very likely have powered it.
