Dinghies on Bone Mill Pond at Penpol
Bone Mill Pond was a tidal mill pool and the dam can be seen in the distance. The mill was used to crush bones for fertiliser, hence the name of the pond.

Penpoll Creek
Like Devoran this was once an place in which quite large ships berthed. The tin mining inland, while providing the goods to be shipped out, also provided the mud which washed into Restronguet Creek greatly decreasing the water depth and making such commerce impossible. Today it is the home of pleasure craft and very expensive houses.

Stepping stones, Penpol Creek
It looks as if the stepping stones are a rather poor substitute for a bridge of some kind which spanned the creek here. Other submissions refer to a tide-mill here, for which this was the dam. I ignored both and stuck to my wellies.

Bone Mill Pond
The end of Penpoll Creek which, in the 19th century, was dammed to provide power for a tide mill on the dam. The mill was used to crush animal bones for fertiliser, hence the name above.
