Embankment, Tallack's Creek
This embankment at the head of Tallack's Creek once carried the Redruth and Chasewater Railway (1824 - 1915) around what was probably its tightest curve. It now carries the narrow lane known as Old Tram Road between Devoran and Point.

Old Tram Road
The Redruth and Chasewater Railway (it did not ever reach Chasewater!) had its main base at the port of Devoran about a half mile away. It continued along the coastline to Point Quay along what is now this road, pictured here crossing the inlet at Tallack's Creek

Tidal path crossing Tallack's Creek
Tidal foot path from Devoran as it crosses a creek on stepping stones. I managed to negotiate this path to the row of boats in the distance. I also stayed free from mud and didn't fall over.

Tallack's Creek from Devoran Quay
Tallack's Creek joins Restronguet Creek at the very end of Devoran Quay, and I was standing at the end of the Quay to take this picture.
