Malakoff Bus Station, St Ives
Buses to and from St Ives all turn at this elevated bus station on The Malakoff - the solution here to a common problem for bus operators in the south west of finding a suitable terminus site among the narrow, steep, winding streets of the coastal towns.

Western Greyhound buses at St Ives
This small turning area on the Malakoff has long been the terminal point for St Ives' bus services. Western Greyhound is a relative newcomer on the scene, having been established about ten years ago, gradually establishing a network of services across Cornwall that would once have been operated by the Western National Omnibus Co. Western Greyhound has taken over many routes that the principal operator in the county, First Group, has withdrawn from, and their traditional green livery makes a refreshing change from the more garish styles adopted by the national operators.

The Malakoff, St Ives
The name commemorates a key battle in the Crimean War in which the French successfully assaulted a Russian strong point, leading to the capture of Sevastopol in 1855. The small garden here has a spectacular view across the harbour to The Island.
