Alfred Wallis's house - St Ives
The house with the brown paint once belonged to the artist Alfred Wallis whose naive paintings of seascapes and sailing boats are very popular and well-loved today. He arrived in St Ives in 1890 but did not take up painting until after his wife had died in 1922. By the time other artists arrived to form the St Ives colony he was well established much to their delight. Please see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfred_Wallis . The house is situated just off Porthmeor Beach and not far from Tate St Ives.

St Ives - 1987
St Ives, Cornwall, Bunkers Hill. St Ives is a seaside town, civil parish and port in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The town lies north of Penzance and west of Camborne on the coast of the Celtic Sea. In former times it was commercially dependent on fishing. The decline in fishing, however, caused a shift in commercial emphasis and the town is now primarily a holiday resort.
