OS benchmark - St Ives,34 Fore Street
An OS cutmark on the east-facing wall of no 34, Fore St; originally cut during the 1st Primary Levelling of the country in 1850, and levelled at 34.083 feet above Liverpool datum. At that time, the building was a schoolhouse, belonging to Mr James Rowe.
