Ladock - The Falmouth Arms
The C18th Falmouth Arms is in the little village of Ladock in Cornwall. As well as being a pub (selling Dartmoor Ales as at 2022) it also serves excellent food prepared by chef Kevin Viner who won Cornwall's first ever Michelin star (at a previous restaurant). It also has four highly individual guest rooms. See their website here: https://www.falmoutharms.com

Ladock - Roadside wild flowers
This pretty assortment of wild flowers were growing by the side of the main road through Ladock, the B3275. The blue cornflowers are the most prevalent, but amongst them there are red poppies and a white flower which may be a white cosmos, while the purple flower may be another cosmos e.g. Cosmos bipinnatus. Thanks to fellow Geographers for help in identifying the latter two flowers. This collection has almost certainly been intentionally grown here by the scattering of seed in the wayside, especially as the Cosmos species are not native to the UK.

The road up the Tresillian River Valley
Just north of the village of Ladock. There are street lights on this road but no footpath. I would have thought that it would have been safer with a footpath but no street lights!
